Summit Utilities Arkansas Announces New Community Giving Grant Program

Little Rock, Arkansas (June 8, 2023) – Summit Utilities Arkansas (Summit) is announcing a new community giving grant program for area non-profit organizations that operate in Summit’s service territories. Summit’s charitable giving program, Summit Cares, will choose qualifying non-profits to receive grant funding to use towards their organization. Interested non-profits can now apply online.

“At Summit, customers and communities are at the heart of what we do, and the Summit Cares community giving program is one way we strive to enrich the lives of our customers and build lasting, meaningful partnerships with those we serve,” said Fred Kirkwood, Chief Customer Experience Officer for Summit. “It’s our honor to provide Summit Cares grant funding to these hard-working organizations that enhance the health and well-being of communities throughout our service area.” 

In 2023, Summit Cares will focus on supporting non-profit organizations with interests in human needs, education, community vitality and environmental stewardship.   

Applications will be accepted until July 28, 2023. A Summit team member-led review committee will review the applications and announce the grant recipients in August 2023. Applicants will be limited to not-for-profit 501(c)(3) status organizations in the Summit service areas of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texarkana, Texas.
